In June 2005, after increasing global interest, the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), Australia’s leading health care accreditation provider, established ACHS International (ACHSI).
-
In the Middle East - We accredit hospitals
-
In India - We accredit hospitals and have a Memorandum of Understanding with both the Quality Council of India and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers to provide consultation in the development of a local accreditation program.
-
In the Asia Pacific Region - We accredit hospitals, train local surveyors and work with health authorities on quality improvement.
ACHS International (ACHSI) delivers quality improvement and accreditation services directly to health care organisations. We also partner with national bodies and provide consultancies for the development of local accreditation programs.
In the Middle East and India, ACHSI has partnered with Quality Healthcare Australia to deliver successful organisational development programs to improve performance and achieve accreditation.
ACHS International accreditation: The standards are able to be modified and supporting guidelines produced; ensuring the product is culturally appropriate, whilst comparable with standards used in Australia.
Electronic Assessment Tool (EAT). Used as part of the accreditation process, the EAT is the first web-based healthcare-specific accreditation assessment software.
“ACHSI offers us a rational approach to raising our continuous quality improvement practices. Standards are well thought out, meaningful for patient safety and quality of care.” Paul L. Armerding, MD FACS Chief Medical Officer / CEO - American Mission Hospital, Bahrain
“We have praises for the accreditation process and surveyors who were very considerate and have taken the pain to know the systems in India.” Dr M.I. Sahadulla MD.FRCP (Ire), FRCP (London), MBA Chairman and Managing Director - Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences, Trivandrum, India
The ACHS, including its subsidiary ACHSI, has been accredited by the ISQua International Accreditation Program since 1997.
