ASP Healthcare manufactures a range of unique personal sharps containers and kits. Our central vision is to prevent transmission of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other blood-borne viruses through development and distribution of our products; thereby contributing to the economic, social and medical well-being of the global community.
We currently exporting this range of products to over 20 countries and have established partners in the UK. We are now seeking partners or distributors throughout Europe, Canada and the USA. We seek partners with a good understanding of the target market.
Our Patented Diabetic and Fitpack® ranges provide enormous savings in health care costs, suffering and, ultimately, human lives through the reduced transmission of blood borne viruses. Fitpack® personal sharps containers are sold to health care providers including hospitals, medical clinics, nursing homes and pharmacies, and directly to diabetics and recreational drug users.
They are the only multiple syringe kits that allow storage of both clean and used syringes. They are the first personal sharps containers in the Australian market to receive approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), are the only range of personal sharps container endorsed by the Australian Hepatitis Council, and are the only products of their type that comply with all relevant Australian and British Standards.
The company manufactures over 100 harm reduction products targeting both domestic and international markets.
Our products are available for viewing at the ASP Healthcare display at Medica 2008 including:
- Fitpack® representative range including 3, 5 and 10 pack disposal containers for use in clinical, diabetic and NSEP environments.
- Disposasafe representative range including 10 pack and a disposal kit.
Our Diabetic and Fitpack® containers offer substantial advantages over other personal sharps containers in terms of their functionality, effectiveness, appearance and cost. They are used in all Australian states and many overseas countries. Their compact design and ability to be dispensed from vending machines also make them convenient for users and enhance their effectiveness in harm reduction programs.
ASP Healthcare have played a major role in reducing the spread of blood-born viruses as demonstrated in an Australian Government report in 2002 which reported 46,000 prevented infections of HepC and HIV AIDS during the period 1988 to 2002. This resulted in savings to the community of up to $7.7 billion. www.aspplastics.com.au
