Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAA40104
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification is designed for people who have a broad role or major component of their role in the delivery of training and assessment services. This includes existing registered training organisations, workplace training, assessment practitioners, and new training practitioners moving into roles where training and assessment is a major component of their job.
The course will provide you with the skills you need to plan/ deliver training sessions to groups and individuals and assess student performance. This qualification is part of the Training and Assessment Training Package. It covers the competencies required to deliver training in the workplace, and to assess student performance against the content/ element of each unit of competency within the training package using a range of assessment tools.
First aid
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of a casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance, this is a Level 2 first aid course designed to allow the student to gain basic emergency care information.
OH&S courses
Allows the student to gain knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of workplace OHS consultation as an integral part of an effective OHS management system and also to enable OHS committee members and representatives to effectively carry out their functions under OHS legislation.
Manual handling
Allows the student to identify, assess and control manual handling risks as specified within OH&S Manual Handling Regulations and therefore provide students with the knowledge and skills to limit back injury.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Describe the Manual Handling Regulation and Code of Practice
- Describe what happens to the body during activity
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment
- Apply control measures for manual handling risks
- Assess manual handling tasks in the workplace
- Implement the manual handling legislation in the workplace
We provide flexible training services that include ambulance paramedic courses, first aid and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. The Certificertificate IV in Training and Assessment can be completed on line using a web based programme and completed in your own time at your own pace.

Our general manager Jim Allen has had 25 years experience as an ambulance officer in NSW and extensive experience in the development and compliance of a registered training organisation. Managing Director, Helen has had extensive experience in the first aid and OH&S training industry, and as Managing Director of Allens Training, is continuing to steer and develop the overall growth of the company.
