This year we have taken the Australian stand to a new level of innovation and professionalism with the aim of raising Australia’s profile even higher than in previous years. While the stand is once again sitting on only 144sqm of total floor space and consists of two separate blocks of 12sqm x 6sqm, the design accommodates 28 companies, a significant increase on last year and offers each participant a well dressed display area with access to impressive facilities and services.
For the first time at Medica the Australian stand includes a second story on one of the two islands, thus utilising maximum space and allowing us to showcase more Australian companies within the Medical Devices and Services sector. The second story accommodates the business lounge, bar and kitchen and will be an important asset to all Australian companies meeting with customers. It also offers an inviting view across the pavilion, while providing greater privacy than where the business lounge was located in previous years.
The stand also make use of exciting new branding this year! Brand Australia provides highly recognised imagery that successfully captures international attention, regardless of industry and we look forward to showcasing it on the Australian stand at Medica.

The Australian stand is located in Hall 17 A57/B58 in the National and International Joint Stands, Facility Management & Building Technology Hall.

If you are staying in the Austrade-recommended hotel Steigenberger or Mercure Duisburg Hotel do the following:
- Walk 2-3 minutes to Duisberg Central Station
- Take the underground train U79 to Messe Ost/ Stockumer Kirchstrasse station
- From the station it is about a five minute walk to the east entrance of the fairgrounds
The Austrade recommended hotel is 23km from Düsseldorf Airport. Regular trains depart the airport going direct to Duisberg Central Station in 8-10 minutes. Duisberg Central Station is 500m walking distance to the hotel. Taxis are also available and cost approximately 30–50 Euros from the airport (depending on traffic conditions).
If you have alternate accommodation arrangements, your hotel or place of residence will be able to provide clear directions on how to get to the hotel from the airport and to the exhibition venue.
