Overview

CTEC is the most established medical and surgical skills training centre in Australia and has trained over 20,000 health professionals since opening in 2000.

CTEC’s expert technical team works closely with the course convenor and coordinator to provide comprehensive technical assistance. This includes product and equipment sourcing, practical assistance for the duration of the course and post-course disinfection and equipment return.

As our client, we support you at all stages of the course process with:

  • a custom-built workshop equipped with theatre tables for procedural skills training
  • access to a wide variety of inanimate simulators including; synthetic models, computer based manikins, isolated organs and cadaveric models
  • a simulated hospital environment for multi-disciplinary crisis management and emergency training
  • an interactive conference room for up to 50 delegates
  • sophisticated audiovisual equipment and support
  • professional event coordination services
  • course development support, and,
  • onsite catering.

CTEC has successfully managed a range of events including product training for surgeons using new medical devices, familiarising operating room nurses with specialised instrumentation, resuscitation skills training for medical students, and cores skills training for surgery trainees.

CTEC provides consultancy and training support for simulation centres throughout the Asia Pacific region.  Advice is available on: design and configuration for new centres; how to establish an operational infrastructure; and how to develop medical simulation and procedural skills training programmes.  CTEC also provides advanced training for simulation instructors.

Consultancy & Advanced Simulation Instructor Courses
CTEC is recognised as leader in its field and provides consulting services to emerging simulation centres worldwide. CTEC’s Advanced Simulation Instructor course prepares you to coordinate training in emergency and crisis management skills and covers debriefing, scenario writing, moulage and the technicalities of high fidelity simulation.

Master classes and procedural skills training
CTEC develops and runs procedural skills training to enhance the confidence and techniques of health professionals at all levels of their careers – from student to consultant. You get to:
