Weather

November is usually very cold, wet and windy in Düsseldorf. Bring warm clothes, a sturdy winter coat and shoes, hat, gloves and an umbrella.

Clothing guidelines

Dress code during the exhibition should be business attire or smart casual. Corporate clothes such as shirts with company names and/or logos on them are commonly used at trade fairs around the world and help to make you more easily identified.

Visitor passes

Visitor passes for Medica can be pre-purchased online for a reduced cost. Pre-purchased visitor passes also entitle holders to free public transport within certain boundaries to and from the Messe showgrounds within Düsseldorf. For more information, or to order Visitor passes, please go to Tickets & Catalogues.

Please note that if you are an exhibitor you do not need to purchase a visitor pass for yourself.

Travel

Australian citizens travelling to Germany on an Australian passport do not require a visa for business visits of less than 90 days. You will require a current passport valid for at least six months from your time of arrival in Germany: www.germanembassy.org.au

Please refer to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s ‘Smart Traveller’ website for travel advice for Germany and a country update: www.smartraveller.gov.au/zw-cgi/view/Advice/Germany

For information about the city of Düsseldorf, please visit: CityInfo Düsseldorf.

Fees and invoicing

Please note that it is a condition of participation that Exhibitor Fees are received in full no later than 30 days prior to the exhibition. Exhibitors that have not paid their participation fee in full will not be permitted on the Australian stand at Medica.
