Brochures

Austrade recommends that exhibitors produce two types of brochures/marketing materials for distribution to visitors to their booth. Exhibitors should bring a generous amount of ‘cheaper’ marketing materials or brochures to provide to general visitors to their booths. A more detailed / expensive package should be developed to be provided to genuinely interested customers.

If possible, try to produce some bi-lingual materials (ie. French and German) to accommodate non-English speaking customers. At a minimum, this might include technical specifications, a price list or product list with company contact details. Austrade is able to assist with translations (at cost) or refer you to an appropriate contact in Australia.

Remember to have a reasonable quantity of your business cards printed to take with you.

Audio/Video/PC equipment

Exhibitors wanting to use computers for presentations as part of their display are encouraged to use CDs and disks rather than live connections to the Internet. Internet connections at exhibitions are notoriously expensive, slow and unreliable and may therefore not be the most effective way of informing and impressing a prospective customer. Download relevant web pages, PowerPoint presentations and PDF documents to a CD that can then be used to demonstrate and present information effectively.

Important note:

• Ensure you have a power adaptor suitable for Germany.  If you are bringing a computer, ensure you have the right connection for the phone cord and have set up an international IP access account with your local server.
• Please do not freight all your marketing material!  Ensure that you take a small quantity in your luggage in case your freight is delayed.
