An example of MiniFAB’s expertise in product development and manufacturing is highlighted by it’s work for TearLab Corporation. TearLab Corporation headquartered in San Diego, California, is commercializing a proprietary in vitro diagnostic tear testing platform, The TearLab™ Osmolarity System, which is capable of accurately and rapidly measuring biomarkers in tears at the point-of-care. MiniFAB developed and manufactures the disposable cartridge for the system. The TearLab™ Osmolarity System recently received a 2009 Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA).
