The OMI Retractable Syringe - The patented OMI Auto-Retractable Syringe is both innovative and simple to use. It offers one-handed use, with a needle that automatically retracts into the syringe plunger rod the moment all fluid is expelled creating a safer working environment for healthcare workers. The Syringe has won an Australian Design Award, an honor bestowed upon products at the top of their field.
The OMI Safety Scalpel - OMI's Safety Scalpel was awarded the prestigious Australian Design Award in 2003 for the industrial design category. It minimises the high incidence of blade-cut injuries often suffered by medical staff and has proven safety in a single one-handed movement. The Safety Scalpel features a protective guard that covers the blade for safe loading, passing, changing or disposal. OMI's scalpel differs from others available because handles are available in both disposable plastic and reusable stainless steel.
The OMI Safe IV Access Valve - The OMI Safe IV Access Valve is the next generation in IV access technology that protects both patients and healthcare professionals. The valve is currently in production and due for release in 2008
