- The likely benefits of the surgery
- The important possible consequences and complications of the surgery
We also have developed other modules including: Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Limb Lengthening (circular & monolateral fixator), Knee Arthroscopy, Surgical Treatment for Rotator Cuff Disease, and Foot & Ankle Set.
Our catalogue continues to expand with additional orthopaedic modules, gynaecology modules and the first anaesthetic module, currently in development.
A pilot study for the first in a series of animated physiotherapy instructions for specific exercises “physiovisual” in paediatric orthopaedics commenced March 2007.
Surgical Multimedia Services grew from a Melbourne-based research project that has been underway for over five years. Conceived by a group of orthopaedic surgeons interested in the use of multimedia to augment the informed consent process for orthopaedic surgery, research-based product development remains the hallmark of the company.
As directors of Surgical Multimedia Services, the original group of orthopaedic surgeons remain actively involved in the research and product development.
