Trend Care Systems Pty Ltd

Overview

Trend Care Systems has developed management solutions to satisfy a real need in healthcare. Demands on funding require hospitals to be highly focused on providing best practice patient outcomes, optimising efficiency in work practices and the utilisation of human resources.

The Trend Care Acuity, Clinical Pathway and Care Planning systems are our primary products. A multidisciplinary rostering and HRM system is also available. Additional functions such as bed management, diet ordering, medical and nursing clinical handovers, allied health intervention tracking, patient assessments and discharge planning are also provided.

The Trend Care solution links seamlessly to patient management systems via HL7 messaging.

Business Opportunities (i.e Corporate Alliances/Partnerships)

TrendCare operates in a large number of public and private hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, where the market continues to expand and grow on an annual basis.

TrendCare has been successfully implemented into three hospitals in Bangkok. A number of large public sector hospitals have expressed a strong interest in implementing TrendCare and TrendCare plans to extend the Thailand client profile in early 2008.

Following the successful implementation of Trend Care across all Singapore Ministry of Health hospitals in 2007, Trend Care is now seeking new markets in Asia and the Middle East.

Testimonials from clients

“As the first hospital to use TrendCare in Singapore, the National University Hospital's Nursing Department has been very pleased with the results to date. Our users find the software intuitive and easy to use. TrendCare has provided us with good user and IT support from Australia, and adapted the product quickly where required to meet our needs. From a management point of view, we are just beginning to discover the very useful reports and supporting data on manpower and patient acuity. Going forward, I expect these reports will be instrumental in making key changes in how we optimise our nursing staff. With the assistance of the Ministry of Health, the reports will also be useful in supporting improvements to the nursing staffing levels in Singapore public hospitals”.

“TrendCare provides the evidence we need about "what nurses do" as well as provide a timely management system for nursing unit managers. As an information system it is information rich with minimal input from users and that is a significant strength when dealing with busy nurses. The product is user friendly and is also well supported by the Trendcare team who are very responsive to client needs”.

“I have used the TrendCare system in a range of hospitals during the past twelve years. Throughout this time, the use of TrendCare has assisted me by providing invaluable information in an easy to interpret format which enables rapid decision making. As the Director of Clinical Services at St Andrew’s Private Hospital in Brisbane Australia I have used the data generated through TrendCare to maintain high quality care in an efficient, cost effective environment. By using the TrendCare product, I have been able to accurately match supply and demand for nursing services and a range of non-clinical environments. The system has assisted me in creating realistic, manageable budgets and assisted in re-engineering services to accommodate the changing needs of the organisation and community”.

“The TrendCare System has provided me with clear, supportive information when changes in patient acuity and activity have altered the cost of a department. The system is user friendly and TrendCare Systems have consistently been responsive to the needs of the users and have provided us with solutions that continue to enhance the decision support capabilities. It has reduced the workload for many additional areas such as Human Resource Management by providing up to date information on the training, competency and registration status of all staff members”.
